Burnt Orange - N E One been trying to get this color

I ve seen a few discussions on the board before about the proper color red used on the hull and what colors most closely match it and so on. Im not sure if anyone has come up with anything so, i decided to go and get a sample of the color itself. Is anyone intrested in getting the the right color. And i havent decided what kind of paint to use yet because the real stuff is highly flamible and will melt plastics.

    I dont know what tech

I dont know what tech you guys have in the way of paint, but over here we can go into a hardware store and give the techs a sample of the colour, they use a machine to analyse the pigments contained with in and can re-create the paint from that. if you can get them to give you the pigments, you could email the model paint suppliers and ask them if they have one that matches that pigment ratio

well ill give it a shot any way and then compare it to the krylon sandable primer as you suggested Jeff. Then ill put them side by side , and take a pic. Not sure how soon i can get it though. I also got some of the black we use. but im pretty sure its just straight black. Curiously all the paint is really a semi gloss all around but, after one patrol that goes away fast. Geuss it depends on if you like the weathered or fresh out the dock look
