Type Ix Unterseeboot

Hello all,
As my first venture into to world of R/C submarines, I would like to build a 1/72 or 1/98 scale of a Type IX-A, B, or C. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to find any plans for a 1/72. ( I found one for a 5-footer, but thats too big for me) Anyone know of a place I can buy some plans for this boat?

Probably the best set of Type IX plans available commercially today would be the Fritz Kohl set that are available at]Type IX Plans

thanks for the help. If you or anyone else has some plans I can look into (not that these are bad, but it is good to see other plans out there) I would greatly appreciate it.

If Jeff says they're the

If Jeff says they're the best on the market, I think you can take that as a given.

You're unlikely to find anyone else online more clued up on WWII U-boat reference.

Get the plans, and build the boat.

Naw, I wasn't trying to offend, I just was thinking that if I get more than one plan, I may be better informed should I come to a problem on one of them.

...no offense taken....but looking for better plans is probably a waste of time and money.

As for Italian WW2 subs, I've seen a gorgeous set of plans of the CB midget sub that an Italian modelers group has available. They likely have more. I do not know the name of the group, but SC member 'subdude' (Jim B.) knows how to contact them......perhaps sending Jim a pm would help.

If you mean italian submarines, there are plans.
but obtaining them might prove difficult, since the

or is regianautica a brand ?

The ANB plans can be purchased in the US thru Taubman's plan service, which is now owned by the Loyalhanna Dockyard. But I'll warn you, most of them are not cheap...

Wow. that's great stuff! I was worried I would never find any plans for Italian subs. Now how about this (I want to keep myself busy for the next...oh lets say....3-4 years?) any plans for the type XI U-cruiser?
