    sorry, no!

did builded in 1/144, sank like the real one.
    1/48? way too long.
    1/72 thinking about building one.
1/98 no seaplane to go with it.
but there may be a way,
use a 1/100 I-19, finish up like the I-400, ones in the water no one will know.

i forgot, i saw one make by a japanese modeler, and this one

    good luck.

      Scale Shipyard has a 1/48

Scale Shipyard has a 1/48 "B" class Japanese sub. I have one of these kits and the detail kit for it as well (and even the float plane!!). Here is a link to my project page, though it is unstarted as of right now]http://www.rc-sub.com/bclass.html[/url]

Scale Shipyard has an online catalog. I think the price of the "B" Class kit is just over $400US. 89" long (a BIG beasty), but darned impressive.

I don't know of where to get an I-400 kit. The SS "B" may be your closest choice except scratchbuilding your own hull.
