Another speed controller querie.

After the twitchy servo drama with the switch plate I bought a Speed controller. ( Finally I hear you say)

Tell me,

Are they supposed to make a sporadic bleeping kinda sound?
I can only get it to go in one direction? Any suggestions.

Anything else i should know about the little buggers?...

At the risk of asking the obvious, did you buy an airplane speed control? If you did, then yes, they will only work in one direction. Which esc did you buy?

My Kilo's Futaba MC230CR ESC

My Kilo's Futaba MC230CR ESC (a little purple one for cars, actually) beeps continually when it's not receiving a radio signal. Once the transmitter is turned on, it's silent. Works very nicely all-in-all, but is sometimes a little tricky to throw into reverse as it's actually expecting a brake mechanism instead. Took a lot of fiddling with the centre-set point to make it usable ...

As far as I know it's a car one. It's a generic taiwanese brand I think? L-SE. was all that was written on it. It's about the size of one on those oil satchets you sometimes get in the spicy 2 minute noodle packs.

Some car esc's don't have

Some car esc's don't have a reverse- only a brake.

Others are programmable and you can switch out reverse.

I can't find anything on google for the name you gave.

If you still have no luck, ebay the rascal and get one these-
