Detailed Instructions for Installing Dive Pump

    Hello,
I was wondering if you guys could assist with VERY detailed instructions (photos would really assist) for installing an Engel EA750 dive pump into a Robbe U47? It would actually be an "upgrade" to my current U47. Meaning the u-boat has already been completely assembled and works perfectly for dynamic diving. This is the only R/C sub I have built, so I am a novice, hence the need for details. That being said, I really only need what I would term a "basic" set-up. I am not looking to win any "internal tray or WTC" beauty awards. I would just like to make it a basic static diving u-boat. ANY assistance would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to email me directly or send photos directly. I have DSL, so send away... Though, post here may assist others in the future...

    Thanks in advance

      I saw the site. However,

I saw the site. However, I thought I would use rubber tubing instead of brass tube for water pumping (if I follow him correctly.) I was also looking for instructions on wiring. Does the Engel motor connect to your main batteries? Or, can it operate on a separate battery? Sorry, but I am very much a novice.....

You need a ballast tank switch, you can make your own, but if your a novice its best to buy the Engel one. The piston tank and main battery wire to the switch. Then plug the switch to the reciever. The Engel switch will also act as a lost signal and low battery failsafe by blowing the ballast. It will come with wiring instrictions.

          I would recommend Engel's BTS-2

I would recommend Engel's BTS-2 ballast switch. Be certain you order the correct voltage, 6 or 12, depending on what your tank is. This switch comes with the necessary wiring diagram for your tank.
