HMS Upholder (WWII) - Kit or Plans?

Hello,
Does anyone know where I can purchase a kit or very detailed plans for a WWII version of the sub HMS Upholder? I am looking to make it static diving, etc. I am rather new to R/C submarines and have only built one static diving U-boat (Robbe U 47). It works perfectly and I am very pleased with it. I am up to the challenge of scratch building an Upholder (as long are the plans are detailed) if that is the route I have to go. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!! I think OTW has plans to make an S class. I am not sure about the U class. Thanks

Of course the best case scenario would be to buy one already built, but I doubt that's going to happen.........

Hello,
After reading your post I

Hello,
After reading your post I made a few Google searches and
came up with a number of websites.
I visited this website]http://web.ukonline.co.uk/chalcraft/sm/ww2sm2.html
and noticed that there was some information about the
Upholder, so I sent an email to Mr.Geoff Chalcraft
website operator and ask about plans. If he replies with
information that will help, I will notify you............

You may want to contact

You may want to contact Pete Griffiths on this. He made a beautiful Upholder model and has a lot of info on this rather strangely obscure subject (strange since Upholder was the most succsesful brit sub in WWII)

Here you can get the plans you are looking for (by John Lambert)]http://www.lambert-plans.com/encom/index.htm
or

Regards

PS: it would be interesting to discuss here the details on the HMS Upholder (color, weapons, fittings, etc.)

THANK YOU both!!! The plans

THANK YOU both!!! The plans look fairly decent and usable. I will also check out Pete's sub. I think it might be the sub I saw that first peaked my interest in building one....

There is a commercially available

There is a commercially available hull of a U-class sub in 1/48 scale. It's bow and other details corresponds to the later U-class boats but you can mod it to represent the Upholder]http://business.virgin.net/metcalf.mouldings/uclass.htm

be wary of the hull

be wary of the hull from Metcalf. its old and shows it. having said that, visit model boat mayhem/submarines and look at the various threads.
