    Recommend new apc

Hello all. I need a new apc for one of my subs. What do any of you recommend. I had APC-3 but after leaving it in a freezing cold cottage over the winter it does not work properly. My mistake.
    cheers

        Are the electronics that sensitive

Are the electronics that sensitive to cold, even in storage? My storage area will be out in my shop which won't have heat unless I'm in there working. If so looks like I'll store this stuff in the basement.

          I don't think the cold

I don't think the cold will be a problem, unless you are living in arctic conditions.

Condesation can be an electronics killer though. So keep them dry.

            Andy,
            Thanks. I live in New

            Andy,
Thanks. I live in New England where it does get cold, down to single digits here and there but not usually for very long.

              APC-3 used a liquid filled

APC-3 used a liquid filled sensor. Most likely, this liquid froze, ruptured the container, and leaked out. Being stored in sub freezing conditions is not a scenario I envisioned during the design process. Sorry.

Best suggestion is to store in at least a semi warm environment. Look at it this way. You keep your pets warm in the winter, which is more important - your pet, or your boat?

                Thanks Skip.
                I suspected there was

                Thanks Skip.
I suspected there was a liquid sensor involved as I have a couple of radios in my shop for music and they work just fine no matter how cold it gets, I too would not have given it a second thought leaving my boat gear in my shop. The basement is the better option, better safe than sorry.
