    The speed controls that I'm

The speed controls that I'm using are a pair of MCD Ultra Minicons, good for 20 amps each and 20 volts. They are expensive, but seem to work fine so far.

As to motors, I am using the motors that came from Engel with the boat. The Engel gearbox and motors came assembled. Engel uses a 6 volt system for the drives and the ballast control system for the piston tanks. He calls the motors Speedster 540, and they are available separately for 6.81 Euros. Now that's only about $10, so if anything ever goes wrong with one, I'll probably get something better.

If you would like further info direct, contact me at jaschwink@aol.com.

      Mermaid - Over the years

Mermaid - Over the years I've used alot of different speed controls. But the best has always been a Vantec. You use it once, you never want to use another. In addition Dale gives great Tech support should you need it. Always... Best Wishes Mike Dory
