Lithium Batteries low voltage protection?

I am using a Novak Spy ESC to achieve a BEC in my sub. (Revell VIIC) Due to space restrictions, I am using Lithium batteries that must never drop below ~3V / cell.
How do you guys know when to quit running?
I assume there is a gismo that resolves this problem. It would have to ??? when the voltage approaches 3 per cell. (2 cells)
Could someone please enlighten me. Remember, space is a hudge issue.

Try to find out if your Li-pack or cells has a build in voltage cutoff system. Lots of packs and even individual cells has such features build into them.

If you find out that you pack/cells does not feature such a system, they are usually fairly easy to buy from hobby stores. And they are usually very very small.

I use the Li-saver in my Seawolf. Works well. You will not have any worries with that one.

I have the lisaver plugged

I have the lisaver plugged into my esc and rx. I do not have mine used as a bec. I did not know that it could do so. The one that I have only has a single wire to the batery pack. This wire measures the potential.

As for the being able to tell when it cuts out, you will know. It cuts the power completely till you reduce the throttle to neutral. You will then be able to open the throttle and bring the boat back. The current is only cut to the motor, all the rest of your boat will opperate normally. Hope this helps.
