    Shrader valve for RCAB

    Gentlemen
I have made up a Schrader valve to be activated by a mini servo (25 oz/in) in a Revell VIIC. The spring pressure seems excessive in the valve. Auto suppliers sell a VERY lightly sprung Schrader valve used in compression gauges, with a white shoulder (if that is significant). Should I use it or not?
    Thanks

I have run down to 15 OZ/IN with no problem using standard schrader valves. Just make sure your servo arm is not really long. The longer the arm the less torque. BD.

I have successfully used a micro servo with a shaped servo wheel, acting as a cam, instead of a servo arm, to depress the tire valve.

I did a small ramp out of brass to actuate the valve. You must reinforce the servo arm for that one.
