Revell VIIC Project pieces coming together!

Gentlemen, again thanks for your help so far!

It looks like BIG Dave has the right WTC for the boat.

I'm sorry but now I have even more questions. I have read all of the Revell VIIC threads and to my knowledge these wern't covered.

-I need a source for items like better running gear, shafts, props, struts, bushings etc etc. Preferably all within one or two vendors. Preferably with an on-line catalogue.

-What glues work under water? CA? Epoxy? Plastic model glue?

-What glue is used for all these plastics such as Lexan, Plexi, ABS, etc.

-What paints are waterproof? Latex? Stick to plastic?

-What paint sticks to brass? Does it need a primer?

The running gear is by far the most pressing problem, so any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, Dave E.

    Dave,
    If you are getting the

    Dave,
If you are getting the WTC from Dave there will be a list of suppliers included with the kit,all are very good.I also got my airpump and air bladder from Dave as an add on to the kit.All of the electronics and seals came from Mikes Subworks LLC.The rudder and
dive plane linkage were scratch built from supplies from the local hobby shop. The conning tower detail kit from WARHAMMER PRODUCTIONS,if you like a lot of detail, not nessary though. The clippard valve from the local Hospital as this is also a medical supply item. The long propeller shafts and props came from Steve Nutall, though I DON`T THINK HE MAKES THE PROPS ANYMORE! Everything that you put into the WTC needs to be tiny or minature. The radio needs to have a very small receiver too,The AirTronics VG 600 comes with a small receiver and servos that fit very well, but some of the guys are having trouble with that radio, but mine seems to be well so check it out before you buy!
I used Ambroid ProWeld for all of the hull, C/A and JB WELD for the Model Brass deck and flood vents, and model master paint airbrushed over a model master primer. Also BECC model accessories in the UK makes a great scale sized cloth flag if you are interested in that sort of thing.
