Sagami or maxon motor? - powering a Kilo

Have several motors left from other hobbies, like rc combat warships and trains. Wondering if anyone has every tried using sagami 2030 can motors 12vdc. Also have maxon 2328.910 or 44 A 418089. would the maxon be overpower? Tried finding motor specs on net, no luck!

    Check the CD for the

Check the CD for the new motor gearbox Seahorse and I have installed in our Kilos. The little GWS works great. Good run time and the little sub really moves. Cheap as well!! Maybe Paul will add a few words. BD.

      Thanks for the reply, stopped

Thanks for the reply, stopped by Local Hobby Shop yesterday and ordered the high output you had recommended for the Kilo. Progressing well and extremely impressed with the quality of your WTC and and the wealth of information on CD. Have seals on order and Mike should be shipping them out today.

Owner of hobby shop is really excited to see and display the finished Kilo. Hopefully, this will generate others to try Subs. As far as I know there are no submarniers or targets in the area of Eastern North Carolina.

        I agree with BD, I

I agree with BD, I started with a maxon motor in my Kilo at first. Even though it had enough power outside the sub, there was a big performance loss because the shaft would bind on the rubber o-ring. Once I switched to the GWS motor, the shaft spins much better and the motor cranks. I had over 2 hours of run time on 7.4v, I would of had more time, but we had to leave the pool !!!
