LXG NAUTILUS kit - Fictional sub kit

It has been a long while since this kit came out. Has anyone finished theirs? "The League of Extraordinary Gentleman" movie NAUTILUS[B] that is.

Mine is still waiting. Life got in the way an sidelined it. Only just now thought about starting it again.

Here is one finished model I just saw on the Web]NAUTILUS

Doesn't have that pearly sheen that I am hoping for. But then again my plans may all lead to crap . . .

NICE! http://www.subcommittee.com/forum/icon_biggrin.gif

I see you

NICE!

I see you have the scroll work and bridge a sort of light blue. Will you be applying a wash to bring out the details?

I really need to buy the DVD so I can get a good look at some of the finer details. Last I knew it was less than $10.

Actually, the detail work is dark gray overshot with the pearl color. I'll be highlighting with a dark silver color. I think in the movie it was an almost chrome finish on those parts.

Seems they changed the address

Seems they changed the address on that first model I posted (again)]LXG NAUTILUS

I have my kit almost finished. I want a better base though so that may take a few days. Will pick up new supplies come payday.

Thinking about making a Goff/Disney NAUTILUS to go with the LXG - and maybe a Verne in the same scale.
The trick will be getting nice detail into such small models. The G/D would only be 8 cm long with a Verne would be 10 cm.

As if I needed another project.

Could be CultTVman's website doesn't allow "hot-linking".
