I'm at home in Australia on vacation with my folks and I came across the old old old late 60's early 70's magazine that introduced me to the idea of radio controlled submarines so I thought I would scan the article in and share with everyone as a bit of history.

Managed to download the first page before a temporary server fault appeared.
Most interesting and looks a bit familiar - I may have read it in my vanished youth!
It mentions Grid leaks and could this be where it was from? Grid Leaks was a US magazine of the era which my Dad used to buy here in the UK. Though maybe my memory is all to volatile!
Ah Happy Days!
Davy, that magazine doesn't ring any bells I'm afraid although the plans were likely published in other publications. This was from a model plans magazine that had ground vehicles, boats and planes as well.
The mag also has plans for a very cool plywood construction gas powered RC hydroplane called the "White Heat 60" which could take a .60 engine as well. A very tempting project. Nothing like Miss Bud off course...
In the second message for some reason I screwed up page 1 so you need to get that from the first post I'm afraid. Apologies.
