But the chile boats are a bit shorter. So something has to be changed....but what exactly?

At the moment the chilenean Navy gets two brand new Scorpene boats from DCN in France/Spain.

Still searching Lothar for a drawing. I would have thought drawings on your end would be easier to get, as the boats were built at HDW. The difference between the 1400 and the 1300 series I believe could be tonnage? The chart below seems to match them on the tree as the same generally. The Chilean boats may have a similar profile, but one less hull section midships? Would they be similar in general configuration to the South Korean Chang Bogo class (209-1200). HDW tailors each 209 export design to (sensors, weapons, equipment) packages to each customer. The 209 series is the most exported sub design in the world. I have a drawing of a Brazilian 209-1400. Could you use this with photos to determine your answer in the meantime? Looking at the photos, these Chilean boats look emaculately maintained.
these boats from Chile were built direct before the boats for Brazil. So they are very similar. That's why I am looking for an easy sketch, because we will use the same molds for bow, tower and stern. I believe we have omly to change the deck a little bit. Thats why the two points I described above are so important for me. I am the drawing maker for my friends. But let's wait a little bit, may be some day somebody finds something in his archive..... The 209/1400 is documented good enaugh for a model, as You may have seen on the model-picture.
But Steve, be sure it's sometimes easyer for You from US to get something from HDW, than for me from Germany

What about the plans of the Turkish Preveze class? They are 209/1400 they don't match the chilean or Brazilean 209s?

Emailed you the Brazilian 209-1400 drawing in Auto Cad 14 (dwg) format last night. Did you get it? Opinion? Based on your expertise differentiating between the various boats, perhaps this drawing could provide a solid basis for a new revised drawing by you of the Chilean boats? I like the 209 -1400's. Efficient design, small, yet still spacious inside. Easily adapatble to AIP (fuel Cells) too. They always build gute Boote in Germany.

Well.... germans build gute Boote..... Thes 209 subs are in my opinion not bad, but not the highest level in submarine design. For me they are a little bit like Volkswagen in submarines. Reliable, strong, but easy to maintain and to run.
The modells are are also good running boats. Not perfect fast and manoeuvrable as for example swedish design, but without the feeling You have a "Diva" in the water. That's why I like to give these boats in the hand of beginners in our 1]
