Antenna Problems

I`m just in the finishing stages of my U-407 ROG Conversion kit and another problem has shown its ugly head.Seems that I am not happy with the way that I have layed out the antenna wire.I made a waterproof connection from the inside the WTC to the outside and attached the wire to the inside of the outer hull,weaving it all around and through the bulkheads.I then fitted the wire with a male/female type disconect for service of the WTC.I would like to know if I can just wrap the antenna around the receiver with evenly spaced wraps and keep everything inside the WTC.There isn`t enough room to string out the wire inside the WTC without causing more problems with the noise and everthing else that is going on in there.
