Not the smallest, but fairly easy to adjust without the use of tools.
Too bad we don't have a stereo audio transmitter, two condenser mikes, a small low profile "radar" dish, a servo, a stereo headset and a sensitive two channel lownoise pre-amp at hand. (and a week vacation)
Could be fun listening for contacts with a direction sensitive hydrophone. Listening for engine noise and finetuning with the dial controling the servo, you'd have a very accurate bearing of your target.
