what would be a recommended AH for a 12 volt gel-cell.

what would be considered 'maximum weight' for a battery for SSY Akula?

Gel cells come in different

Gel cells come in different AH as well as physical sizes. You need to know the size of battery before anything else. You can buy large AH batteries in a small physcial size battery. Usually a 12v 7ah battery is a normal size. Most hobby shops carry them for airplane starter/power panel batteries. Check you local battery supply store for more sizes.

I have a 12V 5Ahr battery in my SSY 1/72 scale SKIJACK, which is roughly the same size as their AKULA.

Thanks all. I ended up ordering 2 12v 5ah due to dimensions. This way, they won't interfere with the forward dive planes.
