    Lee,

I don't know if anyone is maintaining a list of the many mentioned problems and errors in the book......but I was talking with the editor of MMI a week ago and he mentioned that they are going to be re-issuing the book with corrections.

        Hello Gof,
I don't know if in western Australia the libraries work the same, but here, USA, I use the inter-library-loan program, both the university's and the public's, to have books shipped in. This service was free at both places. I found so many great books, and bad ones, which if I really liked I would then buy threw Amazon.com. The Libraries usually have a database searcher, like WorldCat, that have just about every book ever made listed, pick the ones you like, and a week or so later its here. The books come from other libraries that participate in the inter-library-loan program. Powerful tool, I used it to find rare books to read like "Island of Desire" by Robert Dean Frisbee, a non-fiction book circ. 40's about the south seas atolls, especially Puka-Puka Island. It was an orginal copy. Oops, I have rambled, beers and tacos made me do it.

          hi stoene

just to give you some idea of what it is like here in western australia if you looked up the end of the world in an atlas you would find western australia about 100 miles (160 kilometers)from the edge lol
will try your idea but i will not hold my breath lol

Model Submarine Technology is an excellent book for us. Not an easy read but with a very good discussion of the all the key concepts. I'm glad that is being revised/reprinted.

I can't recall too many mistakes in it. Some of the formulae have mistakes. There are mistakes in the electronic circuit diagrams too but you would not be advised to try building these now - they are mostly obsolete. But again the principles behind the circuits are very sound.
