    Harry's Big Fraking Type 7!

OK Harry. Here are some pictures from today’s testing of Harry's big boat. Man this thing must weigh over 100 pounds as it took two of us to get it out of his van.

I was amazed when it hit the water as it was trimmed just right and Harry got everything working on it again and no leaks. Well done Harry.

The pump was working fine until it got in the water and then the servo which was an old one that came with the boat died so we weren't able to test the diving but judging by the size of the tanks fore and aft he won't have any problem.

Well Harry I'll let you take over from here. He will tell you the whole story behind this boat. Go Harry!

    Steve

And some video. Too bad about the servo that turns on the pump dying but we'll get it in the lake this weekend and get the big boat diving.

        Hey Steve, you're my hero!

Hey Steve, you're my hero! Thank you so much for the pool time & the advice/help you have given me, not to mention the encouragement!
Of course it was a fault with the pump servo or it's wiring that made it fail... the one thing I didn't replace in the entire WTC and it fails! well It is 20 years old & who knows how waterloged it had been! I'll be making a new switch system for it tomorrow... should strain both of my brain cells... but I'll figure it out. BTW any insight from anyone about power switches? I found my problem but I would rather have something easier to use.

                  Thanks!, the deck is 060.

Thanks!, the deck is 060. styrene, I have to scratch the decks that you see in white. That is my next big project, but I need to find someone who can cad & cut some new plastic decks or blow up some plans for a brass deck & have it etched.
The tower is durn thick... (Hey steve, what the heck did you say it was made of?) I'll find that out & get back to you. That sub on top is part of a sceret German program, they are making midget subs that look likeTypeXXIC's but in 1/4 scale...fools the tommies every time!!! sorry I had to... Yes That is his fine Revell boat. (I may secretly copy his paint job, #### it's good.) Hey, is that a XXI as your avitar? mmmm nice Elektroboot.

                    Harry,

Your welcome my firend. I had a fun time yesterday! You just made it!

While we where in my office while I was showing Harry Silent Hunter 3 (oh boy) the pool man showed up and was draining the pool since the old one screwed it up so bad buy not showing up to clean it tow weeks in a row they had to drain the water and replace it.

We walked out side and they were setting up the pumps. And you thought I didn't ever clean my pool. Didn't ya? Well it is a case of a bad pool man. Hopely these guys will be better and keep my test tank clean!

                    Steve

Matt, you need one of these things. You can't appreciate it's size until you satnd before it. Oh the humanity! You'd need about 2000 bucks in silicone just to make a mold on it!

                        Harry,

                        Just go to best buys

                        Harry,

Just go to best buys (actually Comp USA had the best deal recently) and pic up a Sony Vaio with 1 gig-2gig of ram. At least a Nvidia 6600 256 card and the P4 and your good to go.

Then stop at the mall at Game Box and pick it up there. While your at it get Battle Field 2 too. You'll want to play online with my mates and I at www.zeropointgames.com Friday and Saturday nights. (yes I sent them a copy of SH3 and JCM will be hosting it on the ZPG servers soon)

Once you have that PC I can load you up with software I have the keys too here. Get the hint?

We were zooming around in a Type IIC
waiting for the torpedoes to reload,...and you really get that feeling of peril...
It made me all drooly forget about the important things in life for a moment... Steve sunk a battleship! he's cool. Can you imagine I'm going to have to buy a whole computer to play this silly thing!
I just hate the fact that I have to shelve a submarine project to do this!
Oh well I'll stop whining & get to shopping.
