German Type 212 from 4 inch sewer pipe

After seeing Johann's massive 8 inch Type 212 and the fact the main hull compartment was made from 8 sewer pipe made me wonder about building a smaller version using a standard WTC from 4 inch pipe. I know Johann doesn't frequent these forums but am interested if anyone knows how he constructed the other components of the hull. Is his sub to scale?

Does anyone know where there are plans for the Type 212?

Revell AG have a 1/144th Type 212 coming out however it is only 16 inches long so a bit small.

Those pages are written in German, but look for the pictures (Bilder). These are only examples. More than 40 boats of this size and engeneering are beeing built over here. I wished Johann would be over here to "play together"!

There are some nice pictures of Grossbreitenbach. It's the greatest subregatta in Europe at the time.

By the way, one of those "big boats" was in 1998 in Groton. It was the Halsingland.

So I guess Johann's boat is 1/32 as well.
What are the hull components made from, PVC, resin cast etc?
Are they individually custom made or does someone have a mold?
what size motor is driving such a large boat?

Some like Johann's boat are complete individual, for all the others we have forms.
