Inherited Type IX U-Boat kit - Any one seen this kit

Recently I inherited a Type IX U-Boat R/C Kit from a friend. Nothing on this kit has been constructed and all I got was the Hull, some hardware, and the conning tower. I also got a large scale blueprint that is not very descriptive.

It looks a little dated, says it was created by P. Russell. I was wondering if anyone recognized the creator, and even better if anyone has built one and can give some construction advise.

    Any advice would be great.

    Thanks

    what scale? or what size

what scale? or what size is the hull in length? Is it an epoxy/glass or polyester/glass hull? the Type IX had two different basic conning tower styles- is the tower you got the early war or late war (extended) type?

      Not sure of the scale.

Not sure of the scale. Hull is 45" in length. I don't know enough about plastics or the tower type to tell the difference, is there an easy way to identify it?

        Take a look at www.Uboat.net.

Take a look at www.Uboat.net. There you will find all you need for identifying your hull.
