Where/who is a good source for closed cell foam?
I have looked on a few sites, but I am uncertain really which type to buy.
I tore apart an old ski vest for foam on my last sub.
A lot of us use the blue or pink sheet foam that can be purchased in stores like Home Depot or Lowes. It usually comes in 4 foor by 8 foot sheets and is used for building insulation. Most stores will sell damage sheets or even partial sheets at discounted prices. (Not that this stuff is expensive to begin with!)
You can cut, shape and sand this foam quit easily to make it fit any location you need to.
Thanks guys. Since the Lafayette kit is still, for some reason, tied up in customs. I'm just planning ahead.
I did order a THOR DESIGN Permit class boat today.
Something is going to be built this year!
[color=#000000]I bought some pink foam yesterday from home depot to do some shaping work on a project. I cannot bring myself to put pink foam in a boomer or attack submarine! Gonna have to look for some blue stuff. Yea, that's it. Blue stuff. More manly]
