    RCABS on 12 volt system

My air pump that I pulled out of a blood pressure machine is rated at 6 volts. I got a 3 cell 11.5 volt li-po battery from a local hobby store. Will I need to make a voltage regulator so I don't burn out the pump?

    Thanks

        I run my RCABS pump

I run my RCABS pump (I got from Art) on 12 V all the time and haven't burned it out yet.
