    VIIC questions and HI ALL

[color=#000000]First off hello everyone! this is my first time building a sub, before hand i have built an R/c sports cars and two R/c Planes. I have recently decided that building an R/c sub would constitute a huge challenge so i thought id give it ago. My static modelling skills are good but my electronics and theory are only adequate, i wish to learn more through this project.
Due to me being a university student, im on a pretty tight budget. I love the WW2 german uboats especially the seven series.
Any way to the nitty gritty, ive decided to start an R/c modification of the revell viic 1]

      If I was you, I

If I was you, I would get hold Of Dave Welch's little wtc kit he makes for the Revell VII. A much cheaper alternative to the Krick kit.

        Paul,
I agree with Andy,I am in the process of doing a ROG Conversion with one of Big Daves kits. This is a great start for whatever direction that you would like to go.He includes a CD with the kit and explains everything that will help you to build a great sub.In addition to any problems that you might have,Dave is very helpful, either by phone or e-mail.Also I recommend Steve Nutall for the killer shafts and props that he does for the 1/72 Revell boat.
        Regards,
        TD

          thanks guys, i have emailed

thanks guys, i have emailed dave about my interest and he has sent me an information pack, im going to read around a bit but im pretty certain this is going to be the direction im going to head in. I like the idea of daves wtc alot! as for the krick i have seen some pictures of the completed model, and it doesn't look right to me, it seems that the the distance between the conning tower and the fore and aft points are way too short, also there is alot of detail missing in my opinion, a few to few flood grates etc.
