Just getting around to building Big Dave's type 7 WTC, can't seem to find the Vacuum Release valve on the Goldmine site does anyone have a part number.
Hi Jim,
That part is no longer available from Goldmine. That's the problem with the sites like that. They get this stuff in and may never get it again when they sell out. I have suggested using a Clippard valve in it's place in the new parts list. It is available from Mikes Subworks. www.mikessubworks.com. Steve Neill and I have come up with a way to do the ballast system using a servo and schrader valve. I am adding it to my CD instructions now. This will give someone an alternate way to do the ballast system. I will be posting the update on this web-site. If you or anyone else have any questions, please email me. Thanks, Dave.

Jim and others,
I always used the tire valve for returning air to the WTC from the bladder, and still do, but in March of 2004 I posted the following updates on the message page of my web site. -

Also there is a picture of the combined switch and tire valve, under new pictures. (Third one down)
here is pic of my valve before machining, and after machining to expose the needle for the servo arm. the entire unit is bout the size of a credit card..
Dave,(Wingtip),
You have made a very neat set up. That photo of yours is on my web site, also. My own similar pump/release controls, mentioned in my post above, are mounted directly on a mini servo, pictured below.
like that idea FAR better than how mine is setup...
I've been away for the past 4-6 weeks.. the Carshow stuff
and work have been a great demand on me the past 4-6 weeks.
The idea with the waffer board is awesome..that would take care of the issue I had while I was working on my Kilo.
