New Here - looking for people in Maryland?

Hello, I'm new here, and first wanted to say that looking around here for the last two weeks or so has convinced me to join the SubCommittee, buy a Trumpeter Kilo, Daves WTC, and a Revell type 7 U-boat, and soon Daves type 7 WTC.
I first saw these subs in Toledo at Mikes booth, and kept going back to him deciding if I should buy an Albacore. I just kept going back, and back, but never bought one, and I should have. Since I returned from toledo, I have been playing around here, and loving it. I fly planes too, but this is a great diversion.
Anyway, I have only seen in person, the subs at the toledo show, and was wondering if there is anyone in Maryland that I could meet up with, and finally see one up close? I have a million questions, and Don't want to keep bothering Dave Welch....

    Anyhow, thanks for the inspiration............

    The Subcommittee membership is a

The Subcommittee membership is a great investment in your model submarine hobby... No where can on find the knowledge and depth of experience of our membership. With your membership comes the Subcommittee Report magazine published 4 times a year (The BEST!!!) and a membership document. Usually, all our memders list their home address, email address, and a phone number. I'm sure you will be able to hook up with someone in your Maryland area. The membership dues is a bargain and extreemly under priced. Again welcome aboard!

Dave is in the Subcommittee, he joined about two weeks ago. He just needs to contact Jeff or Bob to get in the Subcommittee members section of this web-site. I will email him and have him do that. Dave. BTW-Tim, he wants to try and make the regatta this year. You guys will have to beat them off with a stick this year. Ha Ha!!

I'm in. I have been lurking here for a while.
I do plan on making the regatta this year, I am a school teacher, so I will not even miss work to be there. I actually have relatives that live in Carmel, so I won't even need the hotel (well, I'll need the bar at least).

Now if I can only finish Dave's WTC for the Kilo...and what ever else I can get. I was really hoping to get a SWM Blueback, but he is not selling them for a while. I just like the looks of that kit.

Anyway, as I said in my now "Guest" authored message, thanks to everyone for all of the help and inspiration.

                  I am looking forward to

I am looking forward to meeting with Jeff, and any other sub gurus out there.....

I am sourcing all of the parts for my Kilo right now, and this weekend (hopefully) I am going to re-build my shop, so I have more room in my basement work shop. I am an airplane guy at heart, and am going to start building a 1/4 scale Fokker Dr1. I need room to get both, and probably another 3 or 4 projects going for this summer.
