Krick U25 - Help Needed - Batteries.

Hi, I have recently bought a Krick U25 off ebay, already built but with no transmitter. It has 3 servos, speed controller and receiver. there are no batteries and I was wondering if anyone new which type to use. It has what looks like the Tamiya 7.2v connectors, but these are connected to another set of bullet type fittings.

If anyone has the manual for the Krick and is willings to e-mail it (If electronic I would be very appreciated)

All help appreciated. I can post pictures of the interior if easier for the experts to tell me what I need or where the kit needs fixing.

Ahhhh..... the memories come flooding back...

If built as designed, it used a pair of 6V sealed lead acid (gel cells). You could substitute NiCads, but would then need to add additional ballast weight.

I no longer have the plans as I sold them with the boat a long, long time ago, but may still have a copy of the video produced by Hobby Lobby showing the complete internals of the boat, how it was set up, etc.

If you're interested, let me know and I'll see if I can track it down and send you a copy.

Hi, that would explain a few things. It is sold in the uk with 7.2v Nicads, Tamiya type. I did notice in this kit that there was alot of extra ballast stuffed into the housing. It is a very heavy sub, I didn't realsie it is made out of wood, well parts of it.

If you wouldn't mind sending me a copy of the video that would be great, I am not in the US though. Wales UK. I have a pair of 6v gel cells from a Robbe U47 which I have built, so they may work?? Heavy batteries though.

I have also bought the Krick Type c U Boat built and an Russian Alfa all are complete except servos and radio gear. Those are new but the U25 has seen some action, needs cleaning inside, and I am not sure what the valve is for on the hull beneath the deck.

My U25 uses 2 x

My U25 uses 2 x 6volt 3Ah lead acid batteries wired in parallel - and still needs extra ballast in order to dive! Like yours it has the wooden hull and was built some 15 years ago and still runs well. A useful website is]http://home.planet.nl/~bergh601/submarine/index-en.html[/url]

Hi, a scanned manual would be excellent. I paid £170 UK Pounds for it around 250 dollars. No Radio gear or batteries though and in used order. I know one guy sold his for 3,000 US apparently, well built with extra addons.
