    Trumpeter Kilo conversion new video

Well guys here's the video that covers a bit more than the last. Have a laugh at the title. Tumpeter. I did it twice but after all the waiting to convert the file for the net I figure just leave it. For now anyway. I just got punchy.

This video was hard to do as I couldn't get anyone over to help shoot it or there would have been more close ups and pans.

But I think it shows well how the Kilo operates. This video shows both surface and under water footage. Day and night. Also video of the installation and operation of Dave Welch's WTC kit.

Although you have to install and make the interior mountings for the equipment plus all the wiring and glueing it works just great if you follow his pictures and instructions.

    Enjoy!

    yet again, a nicely done

yet again, a nicely done video! it was really neat to see how graceful the submarine "flies" underwater. got a question though. since the prop shaft and rudder/dive plane wire/linkages are hollow coming out of the WTC, how do you keep water from getting into the WTC through the hollow opening?

      petn7,

Thanks a bunch. I'm using fuel tubing to connect the rods together for one. Also they are soldered on the ends.

I've run this boat for many hours now and very deep too. Never a drop. To bad there's not enough room for an APC. but with a little practice you can keep the boat pretty smooth.

Well I'm on to the 598 now that this one is done.

        Steve

I got most of my stuff built over the weekend,my biggest problem I ran into...I have the large servos and not micro servos! arggghhhhh! but hey everything seems to fit together fairly well..I did do one thing different from you and dave, I'm using the endcap as the motor mount going form the larger tube to the motor tube.. the hole drilled into the cap holds the motor, since the motor is small enough it's held into place by the lip there on the WTC.

I'll send pictures Tuesday, I'm at work right now...

              Hi Steve,

              If I profide

              Hi Steve,

If I profide the WCT and components I don't suppose you could be bribed into assembling the WCT for me?

              It never hurts to ask.
