Carbon Fiber rods

[color=#000000]Midwest Products has just come out with a line of carbon fiber rods, tubes, and flat bars. The LHS where I work received our order last week. The carbon fiber comes in 2 foot lengths. Here's some of the uses for the rod & tube for subs]

I spent about 30 minutes

I spent about 30 minutes makeing a new attack scope for my 1/96 scale USS BARB (Thor Design PERMIT kit). I used some .060 diameter carbon fiber rod, and filed and sanded it to shape. In the picture, the carbonfiber scope is onthe left, and the white metal & brass scope is on the right. The white metal scope fitting is included with the Thor Design kit. The carbon fiber rod is stronger (stiffer) than the brass or aluminum tube usually ised.
