I just ordered the KMB, should be here soon. It does not look 100% accurate, but for $330 including shipping from overseas, why not? =) They are very helpful at KMB and quick to respond to emails. They also said this weekend they will offer new accessories for the V3 kit, similar to those they have for their Alfa.

If you (or anyone) is interested I can put together a quick page of hi-res photos of the kit when it arrives.

                    I am making a 1/96

I am making a 1/96 hull. A picture of my plans are at my Subcommittee Homepage (Axel R. Armada). They are in Rhino3D format or Autocad. They were made based on pictures avalible on Internet so accuracy is very far from perfect.

I have almost finished the sail master and the hull master is going to take me a while to finish. I dont have much free time now to devote to my 671RTM.

The best (and expensive) Victor III model I have seen is this]http://www.navyplan.com/maquette_eng/fiche.asp?idmaquette=6[/url]

                      The Navy Plan people in

The Navy Plan people in France build some beautiful models. But in their web site they make some amazing 'builder blunders'. The Victor III propeller is not contra-rotating. The four bladed prop in the photos is perfect, but their is a second set of identical four blades off set 45 degrees directly behind it, all turning as one unit, not the reverse pitch 3 blade, beautiful as it seems. Also the reactor inlets on the Oscar II Kursk (all four of them) are glued on backwards! Jeesse!

This is on area where you can get plenty of good stuff.

                              www.submarine.id.ru

Follow links to a russian submarine site called the "Russian underwater fleet" "Follow the Submarines after 1945" It's all in Russian however the drawings are excellent. Follow the links to Project 671 ( I think that's the victor) or "Npoekt 671" and you should get something.

                              regards

                              david hughes.
