Figures on LXG NAUTILUS

Stats

430 mm at 700 scale gives a "real" size of 301 meters.

So Nemo's sub is +987 feet long?

No way you are going to drive that boat through Venice!

OK. The kit is 43 cms or 16.9 inches long at 700 scale...

A 96th scale version would be 313.5 cms or 123.4 inches - over ten feet long.

In 72nd, it would be 418 cms or 164.5 inches - over thirteen feet!

Pity the target that gets in the way!

Say Leelan, that sub is pwetty thin for the hull beam! I'd love to get one model RC like that! The original Nautilus in the Alan Moore comics is shaped like a squid, (pretty weird hunh? Yet in the JV novel one of Captain Nemo's worst enemies was the squid! ]http://www.subcommittee.com/forum/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]

Actually, it is shaped like a giant squid on top of a sperm whale.
Maybe the system will let you see this (unless you HAVE to be a member...)]Comic version

It's a little out of focus. But you get the idea.
