I am wanting to purchase another 8103 like i use on my heli for use in my alvin, and converting it to 75mhz of course... i need this because it has the mixing functions i want and pcm and failsafes....its just an awesome radio....
the PROBLEM IS I just called horizon and they said all i would have to do is buy a new (75mhz) module and a new rx... well they're rx's only go to 3 or 4 channels in 75... They said they cant "convert" the 9 channel rx that comes with this radio.... WHY NOT??? if you can change the entire band by just swapping a module, isnt it possible to change some components in a rx to get a different band as well? or why cant they offer a surface rx with more channels... why on earth would they sell a 75mhz module for a 8103 to only be able to use 3 F*&^ing channels lol...... i think the guy i talked to didnt know what he was talking about....

Has anyone converted over this way and can shed some light on the subject before i purchase this other 8103?
and no, im not interested in that other ugly looking brand of radio, lol...i specificly need the heli mode for a certain mix i want to accomplish.........

I have not added radio systems by JR as their product list is large and almost any radio from them IS available in surface frequency through their JR FlexEquip system (more information about FlexEquip)
