    Battery Help Please

    Hi,

I need a Sealed lead Acid Battery. I plan to connect 3 of subtech's water pumps to it. I would like them to run for around an hour. What sort of V and amp should I get? Also any UK supplies of SLABs? Can they be stored in a wet hull? What about charging do I get a charger? Which one?

    Thanks Michael

    well to better answer we

well to better answer we need the specs on the pumps you plan to use... need the current draw they pull at "x" rpm.... then we can determine what you need for an hours runtime... as for wiring and charging that depends if you plan to wire them in series or parralell or combination of the two....

are the pumps 6 or 12 volt or? and the amp draw? get those and we can give you some info...

      "Minimum recommended voltage is 7.2

"Minimum recommended voltage is 7.2 but best results are achieved when driven with 12 volts. Max current drain on the battery is less than 1 amp." - Subtech's page
Parallel as I need to turn them on/off individually.

      Thanks Michael

                  by your info above if

by your info above if you connect all three of your pumps to a single battery i'd get a good sized capacity battery of at least 7amp or better...@12volts... thats if those are the only things connected to the battery...you start connecting other stuff and you will need more capacity....
if you connect them each to their own battery you probably could go smaller capacity no problem....
