Nuclear Submarine Kit - need Advice please

    Hello Guys,
Im fairly new to Model RC-Submarines . I'm looking to purchase a Model Kit of a Nuclear Submarine but need some Advise.
I would like to buy one at least 75 to 80 inches long.
does anybody offer a complete kit wit WTC and running hardware / dive -system / propeller?
something like the new Robbe kit, fairly complete , big enough and not too expensive..
but i prefer a nuclear sub ..(so does my wife and she has to give the approval)

so if anybody has some advice/ help, that would be great

    Mike's Subworks has a 60"

Mike's Subworks has a 60" LA class attack sub. You can get it in a couple of different versions. The deluxe kits is $1425, which includes everything but the radio. I spent about $1100 setting up my 1/72 scale SKIPJACK (SSN 585) which is about 45 inches long. For local help, try contacting the Bay Area Electric Boaters, I belonged to that club when I was stationed at USCG Air Station Clearwater. I ran my first sub model in the south pond in Lake Seminole Park several times.

      do you know, if there

do you know, if there are any nuclear sub-kits for around $500.- available ? the Robbe(WWII sub) is about at $550.-.. i guess, which would be a good price.
what about the scale-shipyard kits ? are those bare hulls only ? who would be a good supplier for WTC/ and drivesystems?.. what about scratchbuilding ?...
      thanks again

        You are not going to

You are not going to get a complete submarine kit, of that size, for that kind of money unless you are prepared to scratchbuild or look on the secondhand market.

You can build your own WTC. It's ambitious for a beginner, but possible. A good plan is available here-

This can be adapted to any size of boat.

For readymade WTC's. Well you have Dave Merriman- D & E miniatures, Small World models and OTW.
You could possibly couple one of those with a secondhand hull, and come in on budget.

The scale shipyard supply hulls only.

There are smaller boats, not nuclear, but modern in appearance that are complete kits.

        Subtech Albacore.
        Robbe Seawolf.

The two boats listed will serve you well, and are affordable.

If you are prepared to spend a little more. I would recommend the Engel Lafayette.
