Ben Franklin vs similar SSBN classes?

Looking for a littel help from those who know better...

I'm about to start work on a Ben Franklin hull.

My brother served on the Tecumseh, SSBN 628.

Can I get away with building the Franklin as the Tecumseh? The classes look almost identical. Does anyone know of any major differences that would affect the look of the detailing itself?

    Thanks!

    I believe the B. Franklin

I believe the B. Franklin and the Tecumseh are two different classes.

    B. Franklin is a 640 class boat, and if the Tecumsehs hull number is 628, it is a late 616 class.
(I don't have my references in front of me)

Having said that, I don't recall any significant exterior differences.
Aside from the location of the sail planes; they are placed a few feet lower on the 640 boats sail.
