Can i mount my APC3 anywhere in the wtc?

Can i mount my APC3 anywhere in the wtc as long as its nice and flat? I have the perfect spot but its no where near where the instructions have suggested to be placed. Does it matter where in the WTC the apc3 should be placed? Like for example far back of the wtc or far front, or dead center?

The APC3 can be mounted

The APC3 can be mounted anywhere in the WTC. It needs to be level as well as flat. Make sure when you finalize position that you have wtc level in the Albacore / or the albacore level and the APC3 level to the Albacore. Some people mount the APC3 on an adjustable hinge so that slight modifications can be made at anytime.

Head down to your local

Head down to your local hardware giant and pick up the smallest level they carry. Usually you can find something under
6 inches. I have a small line level I picked up that is about 2 inches in length. Lay your Albacore with the WTC mounted in its stand and level in all directions. Once you done this just make sure that the position you will mount the APC3 is also leveled to the same plane. If you are mounting the APC above the WTC mid pont this isn't to hard. If it will be below this point you just need to find / make a piece of wood the approximate size to bring the height above the mid-point and shim accordingly. Than apply the shims to the APC3 for mounting.

Thanks Ron, i have the perfect leveler. Its a keychain leveler So while the wtc is in the albacore, am i leveling out the wtc? or the actual albacore hull? So the apc3 should be slightly above the midpoint of the wtc and should be leveled with the same place at the albacore/wtc Ok got that. I will do that this week hopefully if work permits.

When the WTC is in the Albacore you want the hull siting level. The WTC itself does not have to be level in the hull. You want the APC3 level to the hull as it sits in the WTC. The APC3 will adjust the stern planes in relationship to the position of the hull in the water. Once you have added the APC3 you will notice any shift off center will cause the planes to move in direct relationship.
