"Flight" simulation software - Any software for submarines?

I've been playing around with FMS flight simulation software. It's freeware and the "Blimp" airship model is not unlike steering a sub. It is much used by our aviation cousins, apparently.

Has anyone tried to modify it for submarines?

I haven't found any reference in searching the board here and just think how skilled you will be when spring finally breaks!

    Davy,

    It doesn't get any better

    Davy,

It doesn't get any better than this.

Check out the videos and the screen shots. It will be out in Feb. I can't wait. In the mean time this was a free demo that has an ok sub sim.

      The two I play with

The two I play with is 688I attack and Sub Command. They are online games you pay with other live people online and they are great. I like 688I. Email me at blue_eagle74@yahoo.com.

        Many thanks for the information

Many thanks for the information - these look like great gaming software.

I was thinking more about simulation software with joystick or transmitter lead input (FMS can do this)

Any idea if this exists for submarines? Maybe it forms part of the games software? Please let me know.

My idea was to be less "rusty" when the sub goes back in the water next spring!
