Im about to permanently add lead weight to the albacore but im not sure how much weight i need to add? And also where should i concentrate in puttime the weights. Example, half of teh weight in the front, the other half near the tail? OR try to put all in the middle? OR try to put 1/3 in teh front, the other 1/3 in the middle, and the last 1/3 in the tail? What the best setup? And how much weight do i put?
Nose heavy or tail heavy?

In the instructions there should
In the instructions there should be some mention about what
the expected weight is required for the Albacore. I think it was 2 to 2 1/2 lbs. You should try to place the weight as low as possible and as close to the center of the sub as possible. Put as little as possible in the nose and tail. Once you get
the sub 98% blanced in the water use washers or pennies
placed on the sub to figure out where your final weight will need to placed.
Hope this helps.

When my ballast taken is
When my ballast taken is empty, the Albacore sits level at "about" the row of in take holes that run along the hull. When the ballast tank is filled the sub sits with just a slight portion of the conning tower showing. Any forward movemnt and you can run just below the surface at periscope depth!
