that might work too. Got any leads? My Jr doesn't work in either mode. So I have to get a new receiver. I am not too happy about this.

        Check your local Hobby Shop.

Check your local Hobby Shop. It was $20 cheaper at the one I go to but don't expect much cheaper than $250 and they haven't been around long enough to have very many used ones out there.

It does work with the angle keepers and subsafes, right? I don't want to buy another radio that doesn't like them.

            John,
            My model of the TrackerII

            John,
My model of the TrackerII does not have a built in failsafe. It was listed in the table of contents in the owner's manual, but I called the manufacturer and he said they left out the failsafe mode because of lack of enough memory, and they were thinking of airplane not surface or submarine use, where it might be helpful.. They may include it in the future for 75Mh surface radios.
The radio seems to leave servos and switches in the last position upon loss of signal. That didn't work for my RCABS system with a "Y" connector to an SESII switch with failsafe to turn on the air pump. If the loss of signal occurred during servo valve open, or diving, mode, the SESII failsafe would turn the compressor on, but the bladder would not fill with the air release valve open. Problem was solved using a Sub Safe on the servo.
SubTech's fail safe devices did work for the TrackerII radio, just not for my unique original set-up.

                hi John,

(it was good to see you today!)

As we discussed today my potential 'used' radio source doesn't think he wants to sell it.

To you other question, Jim Wheeler has one and uses it. for the most part he's quite happy with it. The only 'problem' that he's found is when there is more than one, inside a reinforced concrete building (with metal ceiling/roof)....and you want it to hunt for a free channel. It seems to lock up. The way around it is to temporarily separate the two Trackers.

                Go figure!
