Got a problem with my WTC

I have a 3.5 D&E wtc and one of the linkage seal couplings in the bulkhead is not the same size as the other two and none of the supplied shaft fit the coupling. is there anyway to pop it out and replace the coupling?

    Are you talking about the

Are you talking about the shaft seal? If so, you should just be able to gently pry it out (I think it's held in with a dab of silicone) and replace it with a new one.

Unless I'm mistaken, David uses two sizes of seals on all of his WTCs. The motor shaft seal is a 3/16" and the multiple servo (rudder, planes) seals are 1/8".

Is it one of the multiple servo seals that is a problem? Can you tell if it's a 3/16" one?

I have pulled the seal housings out of my WTC bulkhead and replaced them in the past. They're just CA'd into place, so if you can grip the brass housing with a pair of pliers and give it a twist, it should pop out.

-hope I'm describing the right problem!

          Jeff,

It is one of the 1/8th" ones. I ordered a replacement from Skip, hopefully it wouldn't be too hard to replace. Then I can start work on the forward dive planes then.
