SJN;
Looking at your picture of the kit's contents. Were the hull parts been precut? Robbe must have upgrade their kit. Some of the parts look different from what i remember. Cutting those hull pieces. Uugg!!
Your boat looks good. Makes me want to reconsider trying the kit again.
Keep the front planes slightly down, or else it won't dive (preferebly an extra servo). The fake radar can be disabled when using an automatic leveller. Take it easy when your going sailing the first time. Diving to fast only leads to a nice headstand and a lot of gorglin noise. First take up a little speed and push the boat a bit up. When you have a nice diving speed take her down slowly.
MB1754, yes, this is the V2 kit. the hull pieces are precut. And the drive system is now included, and there is a long nut extension in the front end, so you dont have to take the nose off when you want to unscrew the WTC.
The parts fit nicely together, but I had huge problems with the nose. Normaly you screw the upper half onto the lower half which is glued on, so you can acces the front end.
But I could not make the 2 parts fit properly, and then I had removed too much material to get a good fit So I decided to glue the front together, so I cant acces it anymore.
I have made a cutout in the bottom so I can slide the lead ballast in when I finaly balance her.
Thanks for the tips witchblade. Ill take it real easy
I have the same halfway colour split. When the boat is in the water it's waterline is about 1 cm. under the deck (where the "missiledeck" meets the hull). Give or take a few millimetre.
Need full speed to dive and 3/4 to keep it under water. When the front servo is controlled by a servo (or when you make the front planes even more negative like I accidentaly did when diving too fast/steep) you can dive with less speed.
