Motor Speed controller - Motor Speed controller

I have a question for those guys who run electronics in tight places
and I have shown some of you my almost complete Revell Uboat, the only thing that is holding me back is the motor speed controller, I seen one for sale that was water proof but it was sold before I could get it and the other type I seen looks like a circuit board witha transistor and wires running off it.

I'm running a 2" diameter WTC and it's about 10 " in length, so the radio and battery fit with no problem, a MSC will also fit but I want something small but able to handle the load I'm giving it.

Any ideas to what I need and who makes them?

I want to get this Uboat ready before next month gets here for the next meeting in Indy..if we have one next month.

Anybody else have a Revell Uboat ready or near ready for the water?

      never use a "switch" in

never use a "switch" in a rc sub for speed control.
lost my first one this way.
Subtech ST-10, will do. very small.
look up my kilo post, this one is without the case.
      and with case set up.

or look around, in the wed, you will find one.
      like

polk's hobby, is for cars but small. over kill just a bit!

      peoplehobby.net

build your own from a servo, can't get cheaper than this.
      (will post picture)

one more thing, i see your other post, the wtc that you will use.
      is it a soft tube?

don't plan to go too deep with it.

i will never going to finish this sub for this weekend run. keep on over killing it!

          if it fits, sure. i

if it fits, sure. i use a reversing esc made by Team Orion. it's waterproof and is really thin, although kinda wide. look at towerhobbies.com's website. with the popularity of 1/18 and 1/24 r/c cars, there are a few micro reversible esc's out there.

Wes Technik do a very small bi-directional esc rated at 8A continuous- the micro 8-bi.

Look right near the bottom of the page.

              Well waterproof is what I

Well waterproof is what I am seeking for now, the only thing about my design will be the endcaps will be hard rubber and not plastic, I believe it will work very well since the more pressure applied will push the seal tighter. I think any holes for wires will be drilled
into the tube and sealed from there. I checked out the Micro 8-Bi
which in euros is higher than I am willing to pay for somehting like that when can buy one for say 30 bucks cheaper here in the states(and not in europe). Once I get that part together, I'm ready to get my Uboat worked up and tested in a pool somewhere.
