I was thinking, with one month to go in the vote and with probably 90% of the voting in, I think, let’s tally it all up on the 1st of Aug and call it done.
I would like to wrap this up and start moving on this.
Well folks, it is the first of the month and time to post the results of the poll.
First off, I’d like to thank every body who took part in this, it was more exciting than I had imagined!
This was a very close race if I can call it that; I had originally thought that one boat in particular would walk away with it! But I wanted to see just which of these 7 boats people would want to see and the results were surprising!
And now for the winner, the SIERRA!!!
The sierra won by one vote on the voting thread but 3 people voted outside that thread and caused a tie between the gato and the sierra, and with my say being final, I will give it to the Sierra!
There are two other manufacturers here in the US who are working up detailed Gatos in 1/96 scale, so it looks like the Gatos will still happen for all of you who want one and these other manufactures have a head start on that project anyway.
For those of you who would like to know what I wanted to build the most? Well, it changed a bit as the votes came in, first I wanted to do the Han, then the it shifted to the 212, then the Walrus, just so many boats so little time!
I have some old plans for the Sierra and I will start my research for the project soon, this will be a big boat and I plan to use my 4†WTC in it, I look forward to chasing it around with my Trenchant!

9 subs would be nice but I don’t even sell that many bluebacks a year!
I will be happy to only sell 3 a year and spread my sales over a variety of kits,
That way I don’t have to make so much of the same thing and not see too much of the same thing at the shows.
I am looking forward to building this boat, it is big!
And it might be a good platform for an underwater video set up some day!
