I am sorry that I

I am sorry that I have not talked to most of you in years. I have sat back and kept to my self and enjoyed my boats. But seeing some post of late I decided to start saying thing. This one is for all of you that make sub kits or hulls or parts for subs

THANKS! THANKS! Thanks It is a blast for me to build subs. I, as a kid, watched Phil (sorry I do not know his last name) and Mike Dory build them and if not for you, the vendor, spending long hours and time I would never have had the chance.

So if you are one of these vendors of my loved hobby. THANKS! I look forward to buying or seeing your hard work at the pond.

Wonderful to hear that Dave

Wonderful to hear that Dave has been looking at a wide range of kits for a long time! It certainly is a pity that some never came to fruition with other vendors

I can happily say that Collins kits are now being produced "Down Under" as shown by these two models at the recent Canberra SubRegatta. The wide variety of subs participating there made for some very interesting runs

Thanks again to Dave for the offer of bringing some new & unusual kits to the market. I wish you success in producing & selling whatever you finally decide upon and appreciate your giving the sub community some exciting choices! I'd contend that to some degree, all the recent discussion regarding the Trumpeter Kilo model has demonstrated that people still appreciate something a little differrent!

By the way, at least

By the way, at least you do sell your products making no prerequisite that I own one of your boats. I mean come on.
Casey,

What point are you tring to make with this comment?

Lyle
No point really. I just don't buy products with conditions. I mentioned no names but it seems you have issues. What might that be?

Casey,

I have a bit of a problem with your comment......in that you infer that Dave sells (and has always sold) parts for his kits]
Dave already made the case for me in another post. Jeez, did I step on some toes or what?

Dave, I am only a

Dave, I am only a newbee to this grand hobby. I have made some friends and am learning a great deal!

This is the first time in any hobby I have been involved in where a manufacturer ASK the consumers what would we like to see. Matt knows what I dearly want to see. The voting is already in and I don't live in Miami Dade so I will live with the results. But I love it when the producer asks the customer what they would like and the oppertunity to make requests. That is called customer centered service. When I am not in the middle of #### chasing bad guys and ducking car bombs I deal with customers all day every day. It fells so good when I am treated like I treat my customers.

Take care Dave! I hope to be able to meet you some time when I get back next summer.

Thanks!

In any scale, the Gato is always a favorite at any fun run, regatta...... you still run across someone who has either served on one, or had a father or uncle who has. Jeff J.

Listen to your market !

You

Listen to your market !

You asked a question and they said]http://www.subcommittee.com/forum/icon_question.gif[/img] I guess I must...

You are right. You can make anything you want.

So why are you even asking a question, if you can build anything you want ?

Unless you are asking "What would you folks want to buy ?".

You see the later is whole different question....

So the question to you Dave is: "Which question are you asking ?"

Nick

It is a funny game Dave let us play, maybe we should respect the little rule.

I dont think Dave wrote he didnt want to make a Gato, otherwise he would have not put it in his list, it is not his favourite thats all

(Walrus.....Walrus.....Walrus....hey !! who said Walrus ? ).

Why trying to discuss that ? I really do not understand....it is just for fun....
