    car door locks

    Hi all,

    did anybody ever experiment with electric car door locks.
    They seem to be usable as standalone linear actuators.

    And linear movement is easy to waterproof...

    just curious if somebody had this idea before ...

      Some of the folks in

      Some of the folks in the TF 96 scale club out here are using them to turn their receiver on and off, saves having to wade out and lift a heavy super-structure off of a battleship.
      It was kind of cool to see one of them sail up to the edge, drop anchor, and then hear a chirp and it was shut down!
