Testing my small U-Boat in bathtub! - She's afloat!

    Hello everyone!

I finally got a chance to test this small sub, after the bathtub was filled, I slowly lowered the sub into the water. It's still a bit unstable because it was meant to have three honking "C" size batteries as power and I replaced them with simple "AA"'s . When the switch was turned the boat ran off really fast, I noticed a lot of torque exerted more weight to be added and trimmed!

My small VIIc (U-571), has only one prop and I must say that it looks great when placed in water.

Here are two pictures I took before heading out to sea:

They might look like they have the same adress but they are different pictures! (Sorry for the confusion). From the second picture you can see that more weight is needed to the front, I will add them when I get a chance too.

Unfortunately, my bathroom lighting isn't that bright, I turned on my camera's back light and it still is a bit dark. Oh well, better luck next time!

      Not yet but I plan

Not yet but I plan too, I saw people who have suceeded in making it rc. I think that the hardest part will be the linkage assembly, the stern is very narrow and space is a problem. As for the front, moving the planes up and down should be an easy task because there is not much things occupying the area. I might as well RC a bigger u-boat than this one (Revell VIIc maybe) as the stern detailling near the prop is terrible!
