    T-212 x-tail set up help

    Hi all,

My friend just brought a T-212 submarine which had a x-tail. I can't find any topic or website showing the fixing method. Can somebody help me out?

    Thanks alot.

    Check Matt Thors website www.

[color=#000000]Check Matt Thors website www. thordesign.com . He has a manual for building one of his models online. The rudders can be fixed in place usng his method (only 45° rotated).
As fas as controlling an x-rudder goes, depending on scale and available space I suggest using 1 servo per rudder (I love redundancy). This gives you the possibility for future improvements (like torque roll compensation). You can also couple opposing rudders with a brace around the prop shaft allowing 1 servo per 2 rudders. I cannot recommend this for bigger subs since the forces acting on the rudders can get pretty big.
