Water proofing a servo - Who has done this?

I remember somebody in the group has done this, Jeff maybe?

But I wanted to find a way to water proof a servo to use outside a WTC.. can this be done and what do I need to do to make it water tight?

    Hi,

    I haven't tried it myself

    Hi,

I haven't tried it myself but on the following website you can read about a method used on a U-47 sub.

It seems like in this case the servo was dipped in a "tool-dip-something" and then an o-ring was used on the shaft.

    Maybe you could try this?

Check with Jeff Jones when you see him at the SubRon6 June 5 Fun Run in Carmel Indiana. He has had great success with it. See you then!

          hey guys
          I have these

          hey guys
I have these units for sale for 35.00 see my site its an easy DIY
I use a radio shack small project box and a bellows similar to the robbe setup and mount the servo in the box with some thich pvc sheet 1/4 and carpet tape (double sided foam)
the only draw back to this is you need a really long extension that you can make yourself or buy but you will need to add a noise filter inline to cut the interferance down

and yes this is a shameless plug
