    servo deck flexing

Our group is meeting this Saturday, the 15th. So, I decided to break out the Blueback after several months of being idle. (yeah I know I should have looked at it sooner!) Inside the cylinder, when I operate the servos, the deck they are on flexes. This causes the throw of the servo arms to be very short and not operating the aft diving plane and rudder correctly. I am considering putting in a brace to go from the servo deck to the inside of cylinder. Any other suggestions on how to do it and the shape of it????

    Thanks

Can you provide a photo of this deck?

You may get by with just a thin plastic strip about 1/4" wide to stiffen the deck.
Maybe a couple of them sort of making the deck in to a "T" or "I" beam affair.

If the deck flexing is a new development, something is jammed causing it to flex- it isn't the fault of the deck. Repair the cause, not the symptoms. I'd start with the servo and follow the push rods.
